Ironically, I never learned to play chess, but Iβve always had the ability to see several steps ahead. Itβs a great quality for a leader, but not always ideal for employees, especially if their vision doesnβt align with whatβs being communicated. Still, itβs a skill and a gift. Pivoting is the norm and you have to get comfortable with it, constantly adapting and changing your strategy as things progress.
